Valentina Herrera stars as Anna Maria, a self-assured teen throwing a
slumber party for her friends on the night before her birthday, in the
Disney Original Movie “The Slumber Party.”

Born in Chandler, Arizona, Herrera knew at an early age that she
wanted to be an actress. Spending endless hours acting, singing and
dancing in her room, she would continuously ask her father to enroll
her in acting class. When the family moved to Texas, her parents
enrolled her in an acting class at the age of eight. During that time,
she was discovered at a workshop by a Los Angeles Talent Agent, who
would sign her soon after.

Herrera became bicoastal, submitting several self-tapes for various
projects and eventually receiving a callback and a screen test for a
lead role in a pilot for the Disney Channel. She continued to train
and work hard on her craft, and her tenacity secured her a supporting
role in “All the World Is Sleeping,” a movie directed by Ryan
Lacen. Bitten by the acting bug, the Herrera family decided to move to
Hollywood, California, in 2018 to expand her acting opportunities.
Shortly after the move, she secured the lead role in “Odd Squad,”
the five-time Emmy® Award-winning show directed by J.J. Johnson and
Sinking Ship Entertainment.
